INKEBANA

As an ode to floral compositions, the artist Sophie Griotto gives free rein to her creativity.  Inspired by Asian art, she lets the choreography of the brush on the white paper express itself.  The fusion of the ink of the paper allows her to compose flowers that are almost macro and slightly x-rayed. 

Known for her fashion illustrations and for her paintings reflecting Parisian and seaside atmospheres, Sophie Griotto likes to paint flowers with ink, which are a moment of escape, of letting go, and which are a source of inspiration for her. 

“Ink” as in ink, “Ikebana” as in the traditional Japanese art based on floral composition, the name “Inkebana” was a natural choice for this collection. 

A Collection of Notebooks using 90gsm smooth white Clairefontaine paper, satin lamination covers with a dash of yellow. 

Véritable ode aux compositions florals, l’artiste Sophie Griotto laisse libre court à sa créativité. Inspirée par l’art asiatique, elle laisse s’exprimer le blanc du papier et la chorégraphie du pinceau sur celui-ci.  La fusion de l’encre sur le paier lui permet de composer des fleurs presque en macro et un peu radiographiées. 

Reconnue pour ses illustrations de mode et pour ses tableaux reflétant des atmosphères parisiennes et de bord de mer, Sopie Griotto aime peindre des fleurs à l’encre, c’est un moment d’évasion, de lâcher-prise qui la ressource. 

« Ink » coome encre, « Ikebana » comme l’art traditionnel japonais fondé sur la composition florale, le nom de « Inkebana » s’est naturellement imposé pour cette collection.
